Lake Balboa

Lake Balboa is a unique, up and coming area in the San Fernando Valley. With close proximity to the 405/101 corridor along with Los Angeles City’s second largest green space, Lake Balboa’s central location in the San Fernando Valley and access to the Westside and Los Angeles makes it an attractive alternative to Encino and Sherman Oaks. Lake Balboa offers many different housing options from charming ramblers built post World War II for returning GI’s to large estates built for General Motors executives during the mid century when Van Nuys was the auto manufacturing hub of the world.
Lake Balboa is near and dear to me personally as it was the area of my first home as a child to a returning neighbor in my adult life with my own family. Lake Balboa offers affordability in housing as comparative to the City of Los Angeles as a whole and has attracted and continues to attract first time home buyers and young families. There is always something to do in the Lake Balboa Encino Park Complex. From jogging trails, kayaking, bike trails, four golf courses, soccer fields, cricket fields, fishing, remote controlled airplane park, bird sanctuary, Japanese Garden, Farmers Market, Skateboard Park, Off Leash Dog Park, Archery Range, Tennis Courts, Basketball courts there is something for everyone. Don’t forget the Lake itself!
